In September 2010, Samsung Electronics Europe invited people all over Europe to take part in ‘Everyone Is Art’.
This was an invitation to feature in the first giant collaborative artwork to raise awareness of women and men affected by breast cancer. Over 1,096 people donated photos which were used as a medium to recreate Botticelli’s ‘Birth Of Venus’.
The campaign generated 163 pieces of print, online and broadcast coverage reaching over 376 million people in the UK and Europe. The icing on the cake came in the form of a giant cheque for $1.5m presented by Samsung to 25 European breast cancer charities.
